E3 Recap

As the world’s largest gaming convention rolls on this weekend some Star Wars gaming news was released during EA’s press conference on Saturday.

The first bit of Star Wars news that came out of EA’s press conference was the announcement of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. We have know for a little while that Respawn Entertainment has been working with Lucasfilm on an upcoming Star Wars video game but this is our first official confirmation. The game will be a single-player game set shortly after the events of Revenge of the Sith and follow the adventures of a padawan after Order 66. Other details about the game were sparse other than the game will release in the holiday window of 2019.

The second bit of Star Wars news was that Star Wars Battlefront II will be receiving the Clone Wars content that fans have been asking for a while.

“Starting this fall, Hero characters including Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Sith Lord Count Dooku, and General Grievous will enter the game, along with a new location: Geonosis, one of the prequel trilogy’s most iconic worlds and the site of the first Clone Wars battle.”

EA also took the chance to announce that a new game mode will be coming out later this year which will feature “a linear, larger-scale mode in which players battle for control of objectives around the map.” I have a strong feeling this new mode will be used in to let players live out the Battle of Geonosis.

What are you thoughts on these new announcements? Which game are you most excited for?
